so i was walking to my next class and i saw something that made me really depressed. when i was walking to the cafe for a coffee i ran into this guy that i went to high school with, which normally this guy is really happy and talkative. i walked up to him to see if he wanted to get a drink or something to eat and he kinda just looked at the ground, asked if i had a cigarette and when he found out i didn't smoke anymore he kinda just walked off. i really wanted to tell him to dump his controlling girlfriend, stop smoking and get his life back in order but i don't know how to say that (especially since his girlfriend used to be my best friend). i guess i feel bad for him for staying stuck in a shitty high school relationship, but at the same time i feel like if he can't help himself then he deserves to stay stuck.....
